A July Wedding in Brookfield, CT
If there is one thing Connecticut has to offer, it's a gorgeous lake view as the backdrop for your wedding ceremony. That was what guests arrived to at Claire and Will's bright and sunny day at Candlewood Inn. Brookfield, CT offers rolling hills, lush greens, and lake water that sparkles in the sunlight. Guests were seated in the afternoon sun with handheld fans that weren't just for looks – shade for the eyes, please! Claire and Will had a tight knit group of friends and family that loved them so wholeheartedly. I love getting to be a part of such family-oriented groups of people on wedding days. As a huge family and friends person myself, nothing inspires me more than genuine friendships and real emotional connection.
This wedding day was stunning but not just because of the gorgeous couple, blue tones, and sunny day. It was beautiful because the depth of Claire and Will's love truly had an impact on every guest (and vendor!) that attended. Each speech was filled with true joy and care for the couple, and the bride even invited her little brother to the dance floor to join her in a special dance! Claire's parents stood tall and proud of their daughter, and Will's parents' eyes beamed with a bright joy all day watching their son marry the love of his life. Will was the life of the party and every time I turned around, he was making someone laugh! As a photographer who's main goal is to tell the story of the day, this bunch of people and their exciting presence together throughout the day and night made my job so much easier. The best photographs are the ones that feel in the moment and lived in! And that only happens when people are in the moment and truly living. Thankful to have been a part of this gorgeous July day!
