Set against the sunny Connecticut shoreline, this wedding was nothing short of breathtaking. The crisp autumn air carried the scent of saltwater as golden leaves danced in the light breeze. Though we were in peak fall season, the weather gifted us with warmth and sunshine all day—an absolute dream for any photographer.
There’s something magical about photographing a wedding at a venue I’ve never worked at before. I was truly looking forward to this wedding at The Owenego Inn all year. I arrived nice and early to scout, hunt for seashells, and get comfortable in this exciting new place. On inquiry calls I'm often asked, "Have you shot at *insert wedding venue* before?" While I totally understand the question, I find working at new venues brings a fresh perspective, a new creative lens, and an excitement that fuels my inspiration. This was exactly the case when I had the honor of capturing Nick and Nicole's stunning fall wedding at The O in Branford, Connecticut.

Stepping into a venue for the first time always challenges me to see things with fresh eyes. It allows me to explore unique angles, unexpected light, and new compositions that might go unnoticed in a familiar setting. This wedding was a perfect reminder of why I embrace the unknown—it pushes me to create something truly special and one-of-a-kind for my couples.
As I sift through the images from this incredible day, I can’t help but feel grateful. Grateful for couples who trust me to tell their love story, for venues that inspire creativity, and for the opportunity to get work my favorite place—the Connecticut coast.
Stay tuned for more Connecticut weddings at The Owenego—I can’t wait to be there again in 2025. Enjoy reliving this incredible day through photos below and thanks for reading!
